Our Kitchener Therapists

Kim Cooke - Registered Psychotherapist (RP)

Kim Cooke, a Registered Psychotherapist, who offers therapy to children and youth in Kitchener.

A significant aspect of my work focuses on supporting children and youth who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, behavioural challenges, self-harm, and academic pressure. These experiences can be especially overwhelming for young people, who may not yet have the words or tools to express what they’re going through. I approach each child with deep empathy, patience, and a trauma-informed lens—creating a safe space where they feel seen, heard, and accepted.

My own journey with mental health has shaped my practice in meaningful ways. Having faced similar struggles, I bring a unique understanding and a genuine connection that helps build trust with young clients. My goal is to empower children and teens with the emotional tools and coping strategies they need to grow, heal, and thrive. By combining specialized therapeutic training with insight into child development and creativity-based approaches like music therapy (where available), I offer a compassionate and developmentally attuned approach to care.

We offer both in-person and virtual sessions in Kitchener. Book your free consultation call today!
